Driving Experience – Perranporth Airfield

Event Description
Come along and have a 30 minute driving experience in a car with a driver around Perranporth Airfield. Only one disabled child/young adult will be in the car at a time with their parent/carer. Spectators should wrap up warm as the airfield is very windy. Please remember this is a working airfield so all children/young adults must be supervised at all times. Minimum 10 years old with a minimum height of 1.2m. If you are unsure, please email info@caapuk.co.uk
Time – Please arrive at least 15 minutes before your given time slot which will be sent to you via email nearer the time.
Open to – Disabled Children, disabled young adults and siblings – Must be 10 years +
Meeting Point – Meet the sessional worker by the cafe, who will tick you off the list and give you a time slot.
Accessibility – The grounds and cafe are wheelchair accessible but unfortunately the cars are not adapted. There is an accessible toilet on site.
Clothing – Suitable footwear with closed in toes.
Weather – This will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Keep an eye on emails and the Caap Facebook page for any updates.
Parking – There is plenty of free parking at the venue.
Food and Drink – There is a cafe on site serving meals, snacks, cakes and hot/cold drinks.
Other Information – If any problems arise, they should be brought to the attention of the sessional worker who can escalate it to the manager/trustee’s if necessary.
Cancellation – If you need to cancel your place BEFORE THE DAY, please email info@caapuk.co.uk If you need to cancel your place ON THE DAY, please text the sessional worker on the caap mobile phone number. This information will be given out nearer the time. In certain circumstances if tickets have already been bought you will need to pay for cancelled places unless we can fill them. We cannot always offer a refund.
IF YOU DO NOT TURN UP ON THE DAY AND DO NOT LET US KNOW WE WILL NEED TO CHARGE YOU THE FULL COST OF THE WASTED PLACE(S) (note the full cost is often much higher than the subsidised cost).
Health and Safety – All children and young people need to be accompanied by an adult carer. Please do not expect our sessional worker to look after your child / young person You must stay with your child(ren) throughout the session.
Photographs – If you have previously told us that you do not want pictures of your child/young person to be used on our closed or public Facebook pages please ensure you let the sessional worker know upon arrival.
Please also respect the privacy of all our members by not posting on your personal social media photos that contain the images of children not yours.
