Event Description
This is a natural park set in woodlands. There’s something for everyone at Hidden Valley. Check out their website for full details. Follow the puzzle trails, find your way through the Forbidden Mansion and take in the village of Tremuddlewick. Watch the miniature railway travel through landscaped gardens, get lost in the maze, hop on the Porterswick Junction Light Train and arrive back at the cafe.
Carer’s Tickets – One carer is free per disabled child/disabled young adult however you must bring proof of eligibility is required. This can be either a DLA/PIP letter or access card.
DOGS – Dogs are more than welcome to attend the park however there will be a £2 charge on the day at the entrance.
Time – Arrive between 10am and 12 noon
Open to – Disabled Children, Siblings, Carers. Only one free adult per family.
Meeting Point – At the entrance to the park.
Accessibility – The pathways are accessible although mostly laid with gravel and bark. They will be difficult to navigate with a wheelchair or pushchair.
Clothing – Dress appropriately for an outside activity and the weather conditions. Good sturdy shoes are recommended.
Weather – This will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Keep an eye on emails and the caap facebook page for any updates.
Travelling – If you are using a SATNAV to the venue please use the postcode PL15 8SJ, however, please note the postcode is a generic code for the entire area, and if followed literally, will take you into the middle of a farm. DO NOT DRIVE DOWN THE ROUGH FARM LANE. Take the next turning over the cattle grid and down through the forest drive.
Parking – There is plenty of free parking at the venue.
Food and Drink – There is a cafe on site serving snack, cakes and drinks.
Other Information – If any problems arise they should be brough to the attention of the sessional worker who can escalate it to the manager/trustee’s if necessary.
Cancellation – If you need to cancel your place BEFORE THE DAY, please email info@caapuk.co.uk If you need to cancel your place ON THE DAY, please text the sessional worker on the caap mobile phone. This information will be given out nearer the time. In certain circumstances if tickets have already been bought you will need to pay for cancelled places unless we can fill them. We cannot always offer a refund.
IF YOU DO NOT TURN UP ON THE DAY AND DO NOT LET US KNOW WE WILL NEED TO CHARGE YOU THE FULL COST OF THE WASTED PLACE(S) (note the full cost is often much higher than the subsidised cost).
Health and Safety – All children and young people need to be accompanied by an adult carer. Please do not expect our sessional worker to look after your child / young person You must stay with your child(ren) throughout the session.
Photographs – If you have previously told us that you do not want pictures of your child/young person to be used on our closed or public facebook pages please ensure you let the sessional worker know upon arrival.
Please also respect the privacy of all our members by not posting on your personal social media photos that contain the images of children not yours.
