Event Description
Activity – Come along and get up close and personal with the horses. Learn to groom and lead them before having a ride. Please wear full length trousers and either wellies or boots that have a small heel. NO TRAINERS.
Time – 2pm noon to 3pm. Please arrive at least 15 minutes before to find hats.
Open To –Disabled children, disabled young adults, and siblings aged 4 years and above. Waiver forms will need to be filled in and height and weight of each rider will be needed. Maximum 17 stone in weight.
Meeting Point – Entrance to the yard from the gravel car park.
Venue – Goonbell Horse Riding Centre, Off Goonbell, St Agnes TR5 0PN
Accessibility – The venue is wheelchair accessible however the toilet that is on site has one step up into it. Unfortunately, there is no ramp for wheelchair access or hand rails.
Weather – This will only be cancelled in extreme weather however do look on our Facebook page on the day if you are not sure. There is an indoor arena if the weather is bad.
Parking – There is a large free car park at the venue.
Food and Drink – There is no cafe on site, so please bring any snacks or drinks with you.
Other Information – If any problems arise, they should be brought to the attention of the sessional worker who can escalate it to the manager/trustee’s if necessary.
Cancellation – If you need to cancel your place BEFORE THE DAY, please email info@caapuk.co.uk If you need to cancel your place ON THE DAY, please text the caap mobile phone. This information will be given out nearer the time. In certain circumstances if tickets have already been bought you will need to pay for cancelled places unless we can fill them. We cannot always offer a refund.
IF YOU DO NOT TURN UP ON THE DAY AND DO NOT LET US KNOW WE WILL NEED TO CHARGE YOU THE FULL COST OF THE WASTED PLACE(S) (note the full cost is often much higher than the subsidised cost).
Health and Safety – All children and young people need to be accompanied by an adult carer. Please do not expect our sessional worker to look after your child / young person. You must stay with your child(ren) throughout the session.
Photographs – If you have previously told us that you do not want pictures of your child/young person to be used on our closed or public Facebook pages please ensure you let the sessional worker know upon arrival.
Please also respect the privacy of all our members by not posting on your personal social media photos that contain the images of children not yours.
