Enjoy a lovely day out with friends and family whilst seeing the animals.
THIS IS A FREE SCHOOL MEALS ACTIVITY. Please make sure you fill in the drop-down form and provide your free school meals code. THIS CODE MUST BE VALID. ONLY SELECT THE FSM TICKET IF YOU ARE ENTITLED AS THIS INCLUDES THE ACTIVITY AND FOOD.
Time – Arrive between 10am and 12 noon
Open to – Disabled Children, Siblings, and family. Only one free carer per family.
Meeting Point – Meet the sessional worker at the entrance to the zoo.
Accessibility – The park is fully wheelchair accessible and there is a full changing places toilet.
Clothing – Dress appropriately for an outside activity and the weather conditions. Good sturdy shoes are recommended.
Weather – This will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Keep an eye on emails and the caap Facebook page for any updates.
Parking – There is plenty of pay and display parking at the venue but only a small number of accessible bays.
Food and Drink – There is a cafe on site serving hot food, hot and cold drinks, snacks and cakes.
Lunch Options – FREE SCHOOL MEALS ONLY
Picnic box plus small teddy cone ice cream.
Ham / Jam / Cheese or Hummus bap.
Carton of juice or water
Animal crisps
Bag of sultanas
Spotty Cookie
Other Information – If any problems arise, they should be brought to the attention of the sessional worker who can escalate it to the manager/trustee’s if necessary.
Cancellation – If you need to cancel your place BEFORE THE DAY, please email info@caapuk.co.uk If you need to cancel your place ON THE DAY, please text the sessional worker on the caap mobile phone. This information will be given out nearer the time. In certain circumstances if tickets have already been bought you will need to pay for cancelled places unless we can fill them. We cannot always offer a refund.
IF YOU DO NOT TURN UP ON THE DAY AND DO NOT LET US KNOW WE WILL NEED TO CHARGE YOU THE FULL COST OF THE WASTED PLACE(S) (note the full cost is often much higher than the subsidised cost).
Health and Safety – All children and young people need to be accompanied by an adult carer. Please do not expect our sessional worker to look after your child / young person. You must stay with your child(ren) throughout the session.
Photographs – If you have previously told us that you do not want pictures of your child/young person to be used on our closed or public Facebook pages please ensure you let the sessional worker know upon arrival.
Please also respect the privacy of all our members by not posting on your personal social media photos that contain the images of children not yours.
