Event Description
Enjoy a lovely boat ride out with the Wet Wheels crew.
Time – 1.30pm. Please arrive at least 10 minutes before the boat is due to leave as it will not wait for you.
Open to – Disabled Children and Carers. Only one carer per disabled child.
Meeting Point – The boat leaves from Falmouth Haven Marina. The meeting point is located when you walk past Trago Mills (on your right-hand side), take the second road on the right-hand side where the Bookmark Book store is located. Walk down Quay Street and you’ll find the hut at the bottom. Please stay here until told to go to the boat.
Accessibility – The boat is wheelchair accessible however there is a maximum of 3 wheelchairs per sailing. If you need a wheelchair space once booked, please contact info@caapuk.co.uk so that we can ensure space.
Clothing – Dress appropriately for an outside activity and the weather conditions. Good sturdy shoes are recommended.
Weather – This will only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions. Keep an eye on emails and the caap Facebook page for any updates.
Parking – There is plenty of pay and display parking around Falmouth.
Other Information – If any problems arise, they should be brought to the attention of the sessional worker who can escalate it to the manager/trustee’s if necessary.
Cancellation – If you need to cancel your place BEFORE THE DAY, please email info@caapuk.co.uk If you need to cancel your place ON THE DAY, please text the sessional worker. This information will be given out nearer the time. In certain circumstances if tickets have already been bought you will need to pay for cancelled places unless we can fill them. We cannot always offer a refund.
IF YOU DO NOT TURN UP ON THE DAY AND DO NOT LET US KNOW WE WILL NEED TO CHARGE YOU THE FULL COST OF THE WASTED PLACE(S) (note the full cost is often much higher than the subsidised cost).
Health and Safety – All children and young people need to be accompanied by an adult carer. Please do not expect our sessional worker to look after your child / young person. You must stay with your child(ren) throughout the session.
Photographs – If you have previously told us that you do not want pictures of your child/young person to be used on our closed or public Facebook pages please ensure you let the sessional worker know upon arrival.
Please also respect the privacy of all our members by not posting on your personal social media photos that contain the images of children not yours.
